WHY WE SUPPORT PRESIDENT KIBAKI

The main reason why KibakiTena2007LobbyGroup - EU is strongly endorsing President Mwai Kibaki is because he champions the equality of all persons and to fight against all forms of discrimination. According the KibakiTena2007LobbyGroup - EU:
 i) It is a unifying, non-ethnic, non-individual based democratic Social Welfare lobby group.
ii) Its policies are determined by the membership and its leadership is accountable to the membership in terms of procedures stipulated by the constitution.
iii) in its composition and functioning shall be gender sensitive, non-ethnic based, non-racial and firmly against any form of tribal exclusivism or ethnic chauvinism, racial hatred, or social cultural discrimination.
iv) it shall support the aspiration of women, combat gender insensitivity and ensure the voice of women is fully heard in the organization and that women are properly represented in the decision making organs of the party
v) it shall support aspirations of youth and ensure that their voice is fully heard and that they shall be properly represented in the decision making organs of the party.
vi) it shall co-operate closely with religious bodies in the country and provide, on interfaith basis, the recognition of the spiritual needs of its members who are believers.

The Dream
i) To unite all the people of Kenya and eliminate any form of discrimination and marginalisation
ii) To defend the democratic gains of the people of Kenya
iii) To fight for social justice and eliminate inequalities created by colonialism and the two successive independence regimes
iv) To build a Nation with a common patriotism and loyalty in which the cultural, linguistic and religious diversity of the people is recognised.
v) To promote economic, social and political development for the benefit of all.
vi) To support and enhance the cause of women and Youth in National Development.
vii) To promote peace and co-existence both within and without the borders of Kenya.
