Life Is Too Short not Being A Kenyan

Whatever you do, do it as if there's no tomorrow

PETITION! PETITION! PETITION!

10 POINTS EFFORTS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA

Constitution draft Bill on basic right. "All Kenyans shall have the right to education, training and research and shall not be denied that right by reason only of race, ethnic or social origin, colour, language or place of birth, culture, gender, pregnancy, marital status, health status, disability, religion, belief or conscience or age,"

A dying child is a dying Nation. Today’s tears of a victimized child are tomorrow’s howl of the whole Nation – Stephen KINUTHIA.

NB :
Kenya will not succeed in reducing poverty unless we adopt pro-poor and pro-growth policies. The success of the policies must be measured on the basis of how much they translate into poverty reduction.

Education : Free primary education with over 60 pupils par class. I say - NO… ! NO…!
Build more classes and/or schools, consider the teachers welfare, salaries and accentuate the necessity of parents associations to be part and parcel of the school life, avoid school dropouts due to financial hardships - free education for all the public secondary schools. NB : ”With the ever escalating cost of living most parents are often left with no other alternative but to pull out their children from schools” . Make school a better place to be, a right and compulsory to all children (under 16 years) and facilitate access of the physical handicapped and mental retarded children.

Unemployment amongst our youth : Unskilled Youth=Unemployment = Idleness = Crime increase & Drugs related crimes = a Dying Nation. Create a Drug-Violence-Crime-Prevention Department (DVCPD). Unemployment and poverty amongst our youth continues to feed criminal gangs and activities with new recruits resulting to the ruthless crimes experienced in Kenya today. NB : It’s only through education and skills training that could take children out of the poverty into which they were born.

Public Insecurity and Crimes : Through organised crimes (Carjacking, robberies, mugging & cold-blood killings etc…). This is partly due to congestion, violence and rapes in Kenya prisons, non existence of juvenile rehabilitation training programmes and/or integration programmes after prison for these youth, (majority enter prison for petty crimes and comes out qualified and pitiless crime busters) contribute to the current awful crimes in Kenya.
NB :
Insecurity has now become a major impediment to our development process. It leads to a loss of investor confidence, encourages speculative investments and capital flight. There are many causes of insecurity, including poverty and unemployment.

Gender violence, Rapes, Sodomy, Defilement and other crimes against children and adults (which are on the increase in our Country). NB : In every 30 minutes a woman is raped or a child is defiled in Kenya, an estimated 16,500 (3 years to 70 years of age.) rapes occur in the country every year and the figure does not begin to capture the magnitude of the problem.. Enact a Law for stiff trial for sexual criminals and if needed chemical castration for child abusers <very young children>.

Corruption and Transparency : (Kill the kitu kidogo syndrome) – Create a Special Unit of Police of the Police dept., revamp and equip the police force, re-examine anti-crime strategies, consider the police welfare, salaries and insurance covers, and strengthen KACC so as to deal with efficacy the high profiled corruption. More transparency and proper control in the distribution of Constituency Development Fund, Constituency Bursary Fund, Constituency Aids Funds, Youth Funds and other funds schemes from taxpayers money.

Public Services : Free, efficient, satisfying, Non-Political & Undenominational public services (from sub-location to National Administration offices). Enact a Law to clearly separate all public services from politics and Religion.

Road carnage due to bad roads, careless driving and/or un-roadworthy vehicles etc... Upgrade roads network, introduce the modern technologies to control speed and un-roadworthy vehicles, Accidents Prevention Education and Awareness, and fight against Drunk-N-Drive behaviours.

Free health care “Health for all” : Millions of Kenyans are still dying of water-borne diseases and other diseases we could prevent or cure like malaria, typhoid, malnutrition etc. NB : 44% of sick do not seek medical care due to lack of money, while 16% of sick borrow/harambee to finance hospital bills.

HIV/AIDS – Accessible, Affordable or free treatment, fight against discrimination, stigmatising and the protection of the HIV/AIDS orphans.  The Non – availability of antiretroviral drugs at public hospitals and low numbers of rape or children defilement seeking medical attention due to financial hardships has especially a serious implication in terms of HIV/Aids contractions.
NB : More than 800,000 Aids orphans are at high risk of being exploited, and measures should be taken to protect them urgently.

Environmental and Ecological protection – Like the HIV/AIDS, Poverty is known as a co-factor “cause and/or the consequence” in ecological and environmental degradation in most African countries. NB : Poverty is associated with weak endowments of human and financial resources, such as low levels of education with associated low levels of literacy and few marketable skills, generally poor health status and low labour productivity as a result. Combat the vice…

The Government has a legal and moral obligation to protect all her population and assist the needy in the society – it’s
VERY URGENT or else the price is heinous …..

I truly believe that, for a country to aspire a non-violence society and environment, reduction of poverty, a qualified and potential human resources and enjoying the economical growth, it has a responsibility of taking care of children and the youth and that the freedom, equality and brotherhood are the three pillars to build Kenya to a stable and a non violence society.
